As promised last month, today I bring you a really easy recipe for tasty Mexican Bean Burgers.
|Ingredients: 400g red kidney beans, 1 egg, chilli powder, breadcrumbs (approx 75g) & salsa|
|1. Roughly mash the beans.|
|2. Add chilli powder to suit your taste.|
|3. Add the breadcrumbs...|
|... followed by the egg...|
|... then two tablespoons of salsa (less or more depending upon your taste)|
|4. Your mixture should look something like this. It needs to be dry enough to stick together, so if |
it's a little runny at this point, add more breadcrumbs. Wet your hands and shape the mixture
into 3-4 burgers.
|5. Grill on each side for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the burgers turn brown.|
